Prime Minister Criticizes New Brunswick Premier on Abortion, Gender Ideology
The Story: During a recent visit to New Brunswick, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau criticized New Brunswick Premier Blaine Higgs for “vulnerablizing our most vulnerable kids”and for “for not respecting women’s rights to choose.” The criticism comes after Higgs’s Government introduced changes to policy 713 which ensure parental notification for childhood gender transition and has repeatedly refused funding for a private abortion clinic in Fredericton.
Also this week, Federal Health Minister Mark Holland stated that the Federal Government would promote abortion “rights” by applying pressure to provincial governments rather than introducing new legislation.
The Significance: Prime Minister Trudeau’s repeated criticisms of Premier Higgs reveal the Liberal Party’s preferred method of undermining socially conservative success at the provincial level: public messaging rather than actual legislation. In one sense, this is a positive sign. The Federal Government will not introduce legislation that would make it impossible for conservative Premier’s to act on important issues. However, their decision to continue to communicate that Higgs’s decisions are morally wrong shows that the Liberal Government believes they will be able to win a battle against truth in the court of public opinion. Because of this, we should not weary of speaking the truth publicly that loving children by opposing abortion and gender transition is love not “vunnerabilizing our most vulnerable.”

Judge Allows Lawsuit Against “Gender Affirming” Doctors
The Story: A North Carolina judge has ruled that detransitioner Prisha Mosley will be allowed to sue the “gender affirming” doctors who “treated” her, marking the first such suit known to proceed before the courts.
Mosley, who began transition as a 16-year-old, alleges that the doctors and healthcare centres “told me that changing my body to look like a boy’s body would cure my mental health problems. They told me that injecting large amounts of testosterone into my female body would be good for me. They also encouraged me to undergo surgery to remove my healthy breasts.”
The fraud and civil conspiracy case is set to go before the courts soon, and is one of many such cases to be filed in the last year.
The Significance: Prisha Mosley’s case is an important step in the legal battle to end gender transitions for minors by punishing the doctors who engage in the barbaric practice. This battle is important not only because it reinforces the truth of man being made in the image of God, but because recent data indicates a 12-fold increase in suicidality for people who underwent so-called “gender-affirming” surgery compared to those who did not. Mosley, by drawing attention to the hurt she has suffered despite knowing that she will face hatred and ridicule, may just save the lives of those who otherwise would make the same mistake. Christians should pray for her to stay strong in the face of the hatred that is inflamed anytime this modern Moloch worship is questioned.

Ontario University Negotiates with Terrorist Allies
The Story: An Ontario University has become the first in Canada to give in to pro-Palestinian and Hamas supporters in an attempt to end one of the many university camps that have popped up around the country and the world.
Ontario Tech has promised to publish all investments and financial holdings to show that it has no investments with companies “benefiting from the war in Gaza”, and establish an advisory group of “diverse students” to oversee investments. They have also promised educational immunity to any students involved in the protests and encampments.
The Significance: Ontario Tech now holds the infamous title of the first house of higher education to negotiate with terrorists. The so-called “pro-Palestinian” encampments have made no secret that they desire to see Israel wiped out and that the horrific rapes and murders committed by the terrorists are justified in their eyes.
In a week where Israel released additional videos showing that Hamas made hostage videos of children and captured Israeli women while discussing which ones should be raped, Ontario Tech has decided that appeasement with terrorist sympathizers is the best way forward.
In contrast the University of Toronto has stated that the encampment in the middle of their university campus has until monday to vacate after being issued a trespassing notice. The University making it clear that for all their woke language, the protesters holding the campus hostage were in clear violation of the schools “policies of inclusion”.

Quick Hits
Feds spent millions on DEI: The Liberal government spent over $30 million on external “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” (DEI) consultants between 2019 and this year. Nearly $10 million was spent by National Defense alone, which recently began placing tampon dispensers in men’s bathrooms. Much of this money went to darlings of the radical left, including Rachel Zellars, Barbara Perry, and Egale Canada—who are currently fighting the Saskatchewan Government’s Parental Rights legislation in court. This spending reinforces why the Liberals win so many cultural battles: they use the power of the government to reward their friends, who then turn and lobby the public and the government to change laws. Conservatives would do well to learn from this and support those fighting the good fight—including by using governmental power when appropriate.
Parks Canada reopens Macdonald historic site with “decolonized” tours: Parks Canada has reopened Bellevue House, a Kingston home once resided-in by Sir John A. Macdonald, with tours focused on MacDonald’s “complex legacy” of “colonialism.” This version of history, in which the triumphs and failures of history’s greatest figures is ignored in favour of preconceived critical theories, fails to teach the truth about who human beings are and what constitutes a faithful life. Sir John A. Macdonald had many failures but superimposing preconceived failures onto his life will not help us learn how to live well in the present.
